Raw Organic Shea Butter
This is raw, unrefined shea butter — nothing added, nothing processed out. Unlike the smooth, white shea butter you might find in commercial lotions, raw shea butter keeps its natural ivory-to-yellow color, its slightly nutty scent, and a firmer, more textured feel straight out of the jar. That’s not a flaw; it’s what shea butter actually looks like before it’s been stripped down and deodorized for mass production.
Shea butter has been used across West and East Africa for generations as an all-purpose skin and hair moisturizer, valued for its richness and its natural fatty acid content. It works well on dry patches, rough elbows and heels, cuticles, and as a deep conditioning treatment for dry or brittle hair ends.
How to use it:
Because it’s solid at room temperature, scoop out a small amount and warm it between your palms or fingertips until it softens and turns slightly glossy — this makes it much easier to spread. Apply to damp or dry skin, focusing on the driest areas. For hair, work a small amount into the ends rather than the scalp, since it’s rich and can weigh down finer hair types if overused.
A few honest notes:
Texture can vary slightly batch to batch, since it’s unrefined and made in small quantities rather than mass-produced. It’s solid in cool weather and may soften considerably in heat — that’s normal, not spoilage. Store it away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.
