Pure Avocado Oil

Avocado oil sits on the richer end of the oil spectrum — heavier than something like rosehip oil, but not as thick as black castor oil. It’s pressed from the fruit rather than the seed, which gives it a deep green tint and a mild, slightly nutty scent that’s different from more neutral-smelling oils.

Because of its richness, it’s better suited to body use than as a daily facial oil — think of it as a step up from a lotion when skin needs more intensive moisture, particularly on rougher areas like elbows, knees, and heels. It absorbs slower than lighter oils, so it works especially well applied at night when you don’t need it to sink in immediately.

How to use it:
Massage into damp skin after a shower or bath, focusing on drier areas. For very dry skin, apply at night and let it work while you sleep. A small amount also works well mixed into a body lotion for extra richness on particularly dry days.

A few honest notes:
Being a richer oil, it takes longer to absorb than lighter options — plan for a few extra minutes before dressing if applying to larger areas. It has a natural green tint, which is normal and won’t stain lighter clothing once fully absorbed.
