Pure Black Seed Oil
Black seed oil, pressed from Nigella sativa seeds, has a long history of use across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia — in cooking, in traditional medicine, and in skin and hair care. It has a distinctive sharp, slightly bitter scent that’s different from most other oils in this range, which surprises people trying it for the first time.
Its uses are genuinely varied: some people apply it directly to skin or hair, others take small amounts orally as part of a wellness routine, similar to how you might use cod liver oil or other traditional tonic oils. Because it’s potent and has a strong scent, it’s usually used in smaller amounts than lighter oils like hair oil or avocado oil.
How to use it:
For hair or skin, apply a few drops directly or mix with a carrier oil if the scent is too strong on its own, then massage in as needed. If taking orally, start with a very small amount (many traditional uses suggest by the teaspoon or less) and see how it sits with you before increasing — check with a healthcare provider first if you have any medical conditions or are pregnant.
A few honest notes:
The scent is strong and won’t suit everyone — it’s worth smelling before committing to using it on your face if you’re sensitive to strong smells. As with any new oil, patch test on skin first.
